I don't get DVD issues, just the 8008 network error.
However the dvd error and the dns are two different issues. Maybe some other people can chime in if they had to change their dns too or not. I think maybe it is because I changed my dns back to automatically. I'm glad you reminded me of that post because the external I had the game on got corrupted and had to redownload it and start over, and now it's not working for me. But if it doesn't work after several times I'm not sure the problem. Keep trying the amdaemon patch that's the only one that patches the dvd error. For example, if the files are in the location X:\SomeFolder\AnotherFolder\amfs, I would copy the files to X:\SomeFolder\amfs (up one directory). Otherwise, there will be this unexpected error. Paste them in the parent directory of the game\amfs. Go to the AMFS folder in the game directory (the one with the ICF1 and ICF2 files). (You need to wait because minime is installing in the background, and it takes approx. Wait about 2 minutes on this screen, then close the game. Launch the game at least once, and it should come up with an 'Unexpected error'.
